  Michael is an incredible guy. Top notch work restored our beloved Egyptian rug. Beautifully clean and shining! His customer service is above and beyond!

  We brought our carpet for cleaning at this establishment and it was well done and reasonably priced. My husband dealt with Mike, the proprietor, who was kind and funny. It's nice to still find person-centered, quality business who takes their time to talk with their customers.

  Absolutely the only business I will hire to clean my rugs! They come back smelling fresh and without any evidence of the damage my dogs and cats have inflicted on them. Michael is hilarious, and at some point during our interaction I know I'm going to laugh uncontrollably. He has successfully cleaned my rugs which reeked of cat/dog pee and poop, and once, he came through on cleaning rugs which had been tainted with tear gas (this is a long story, but the upshot is that the rugs came back in a pristine state). I don't know what I'll do when Michael retires! I cannot recommend Turko Persian Rug Cleaning enough!

  How anyone can review this company without first mentioning the charming, quirky, and friendly character that is Michael the owner is beyond me. He's a real mensch in a crazy world. My initial phone conversation with him was nothing short of a delight and on the day the rugs were to be picked up he called to say what time he'd be there and asked if there was anything else I needed. I jokingly said "Just a large coffee with cream should do it" and two hours later Michael showed up on time with a hot cup of Starbucks coffee with cream! He came all the way out to Danville from Berkeley to pick up my Karastan (original wool) rugs which included two 6 foot runners and two 8x10 area rugs and returned them two weeks later looking and smelling like brand new. He also repaired a hole I'd managed to make in one rug, removed the worn fringe on all the rugs and stitched those sides to perfectly match the original stitching done on the other edges at the Karastan factory, and replaced the old carpet mats with new and more plush ones. I can't recommend this company enough. In fact, if you don't have any area rugs, buy one just to get it dirty so you can hire Michael to clean them!

  Have used this Company and Proprietor (Mike) for repair and cleaning of Karastan rugs and more collectible Afghan,Iranian carpets with very good experience. This is an old school business who focus is on service delivery and customer satisfaction. He also offers pickup and delivery and custom padding as needed. Very competitive pricing and their quality is excellent.

  They beautifully restored my grandparents' wool rug. It was in trouble having been in a storage unit for several years. We found hundreds of moths and rodent droppings in it. Michael and his team did a wonderful job cleaning it and repairing the moth holes. The colors are vibrant and everything looks wonderful. His price was literally half of what I was quoted elsewhere too!
